THE SPIRIT OF THE RALLY


  • The  Zimbabwe  Safari  Rally is a celebration of  Zimbabwean's adventurous spirit!  It is  NOT  A  RACE,  however, it is a challenge!

  • The rally is a closed event due to the limited availability of bednights.  Only participants with valid rally entry tickets are allowed to participate in the rally.  Regrettably, no  children under 18 years  old 

  • It is an all-inclusive environment with people from all over the world partaking in an epic adventure! 

  • Have  as much fun as possible  and take  the  road less  traveled. We are  there  to  get you  through and help  you when needed 

  • Meet amazing people from all walks of life with one common goal in mind,  just get to  the finish line and take up a challenge.

THE RULES OF THE RALLY


  •  Any 2-wheel drive vehicle is permitted and must be older than 10 years old (The older the better)

  • Maximum vehicle weight 5 tonnes

  • Any 4 wheel drive vehicle is permitted but must be no newer than the year 1993. (Come on over, Landrover lovers!  Come and join the ever-growing number of Landy entrants!) we had 56 landys in the 2026 Safari Rally!

  • The number of persons entering cannot exceed the legal seating capacity of the entered vehicle

  • All vehicles entered must be legal & road worthy (licenced, insured, number plates, safety belts) in accordance with the Zimbabwean Road Act/Law

  • All vehicles must have a spare tyre, first aid kits, a tow rope/chain, & 10 litres of fresh water on board

  • All vehicles must display their rally number at all times

  • Vehicle customization, whilst not a requirement, is entirely welcome, as are vehicle modifications (spice it up and theme your car!)

  • Open-air vehicles permitted. However, within Hwange National Park, whilst seated in said vehicle, door sides need to cover/be closed in up to shoulder height. A covering such as a canvas side is legally sufficient

  • ZERO TOLERANCE for law breaking 

  • ZERO TOLERANCE for aggressive behaviour towards fellow participants, staff, wildlife or law enforcement officers.
