GENERAL INFORMATION

RALLY SCHEDULE AND ITINERARY

You will receive a digital rally map kit and information pack. Every day there will be a selected mapped route to your next destination, e.g. back roads, railway line roads, dirt roads, strip roads, main roads and 4x4 routes etc. (all marked on GPS so you do not get lost). You will take on this route with your team and get to the next point for that evening’s dinner and drinks. Our personal recommendation is that you bring along a good navigator!

There will be full support teams at the back helping with any breakdowns or problems.

Please note that there will be mechanics available each day to assist in keeping your cars running and fixing breakdowns along the way. The cost is covered by your entry ticket. Spare parts will be for your account.

There will be recovery vehicles on standby in case of any major issues with cars. These call-outs will be charged to you directly.

Medical assistance will be on standby at all times. Any call-outs will be for your account. Please provide medical aid and next of kin details below when registering.

RALLY ROUTES

These distances and times are a guideline.

These distances and times are a guideline. These were measured and driven at leisure. Please ensure you leave in good time to arrive in camp before 6pm. Depending on which camp you stay in, Day 2 and Day 3 will either be shorter or longer than what is specified here. Map routes will be sent in detail closer to the time.

* Road update - Hwange Safari Lodge to Robin’s Camp through the Park - Dirt road has been worked on and is significantly better. Bulawayo to Victoria Falls Main road - is undergoing maintenance. Whilst the potholes are being repaired, the state of the road remains in a bad way, which is why we encourage you to join us, taking the route less travelled on the back dirt roads instead. Please keep this in mind when choosing your vehicle for the Zimbabwe Safari Rally.

  • The Safari Rally is held annually, usually in the last weekend of March every year.

  • The reason that we have chosen these dates is for the following 2 reasons: to pass on green season rates to you our client (as opposed to peak season lodge rates) and  Easter is the next weekend, so accommodation availability is scarce, the further into the peak travel season we go, for the number of bed nights that we need for this event.

Although it is the end of our green season, we always say be prepared for a bit of mud and water from the rains; however, in the past, this has never been a major issue but it has been major fun with some muddy water crossings!

  • The Safari Rally is capped at 250 participants, based on available accommodation capacity - ensuring a comfortable and premium experience for everyone involved. While there’s no official limit on the number of vehicles, we prioritise the participant cap.

For context, in 2026 we hosted 250 people across 105 vehicles, striking the perfect balance between adventure, community, and logistics.
